Irma Lova DeVauld, 80, of Burlington, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born May 7, 1925, in Mount Pleasant, she was the daughter of George Morgan and Vivian Lovada Morris Orendorff. On March 7, 1944, she married James DeVauld Sr. in Mount Pleasant.
Mrs. DeVauld worked in production, was a government inspector at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and was a postal carrier in West Burlington.
She was a member of Parkside First Baptist Church, Daughter of Union Veterans, Sweet Adelines, Daughters Auxiliary and was a volunteer for Multiple Sclerosis.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Carol (Patrick Sr.) Kemp and Diana (Ron) McDowell, all of Burlington; one son, James DeVauld Jr. of Chesterfield, Va.; eight grandchildren, Jonathan, Jessica, Patrick Jr., Kenny, Amanda, Danny, Michelle, Todd; three stepgrandchildren, Mark, Jennifer, Dana; 13 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Dustin, Megan, Matthew, Austin, Zackery, Jason, Matthew, Kellen, Cameron, Cassidy, Kristian, Kobe; five stepgreat-grandchildren, Kasie, Andrew, Matthew, Josh, Amanda; two stepbrothers, Richard Poindexter of Bur-lington and Jack Poindexter of Florida; and one stepsister, Joyce Esty of West Bur-lington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one stepbrother, stepmother and one great-grandson, Ryan.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Prugh's Chapel.
The funeral for Mrs. DeVauld will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel, with Pastor Marshall Jackman and the Rev. Tyrone Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice and Parkside First Baptist Church.
