I just want to say this is an awesome website! My grandma is Julia Eva Thompson and I found this website through her name. I would love to help update the current family from her down.

I came across your site while researching my 3rd great grandmother, Ann Spear b. 08 Feb 1804 in Kentucky, d. 17 May 1878 in Hanover, Jefferson, Indi***. Daughter of Jane Dunn and Robert Speer.

I was wondering what sources you have for Jane and Robert?

PS: What a lot of work!

I'm sorry to say, I have no sources... Just a lot of guess work and gut feeling... Ann's Father's sister, Jane is my 5th Great Grandmother, and I know this because of a family tree made by my Grand Aunt about 70 years ago... So I guess my Grand Aunt was the source...

Walter Alexander Graham was married to Martha Juanita Boswell and not to Mary Kathleen Boswell. Also Mary Kathleen died March 18, 1995 and is buried in Louisville Memorial Gardens East according to her obituary.

You have an *** site here. Elsie (Also Essie) Hazel Hoschaar (married Cadd) is my grandmother; I am new to researching ancestry and you are one of the two resources I have been able to use to piece together my Hoschar branches all the way back to the 1600s.

Thank you very much!

your research is very impressive. Think we are cousins as I am related through William Crossman, Abner Hall Crossman, and John Hall Crossman.

Thank you Sandy or should I say Cousin!!!

Michael, I came across your site via the Genealogy Insider online magazine. Although I have no family connections, I wanted to let you know that your Thompson family website is one the the best I've seen. It's visually pleasing and easy to navigate. Great job!

PS. Love your Spam much better than scrambled letters that are hard to read

Thank you very much! This website is truly a labor of love... This is the 3rd version of the site over the years and I am always looking for ways to make it easier for people to explore and contribute...

Hi Michael,

I am you third cousin once removed according to my calculation. Stumbled upon you site and saw a picture of the family reunion at my parents house in Colorado. I'm not sure if you were there or not, but I am the one in the upper right hand corner all the way in the back. It's a cool site, backed full of neat family history that makes the world feel like a small place. I hope all is well.

I think we are 2nd cousins Dylan... Your mom is Sherry, right??? Yes I was there, I'm in the back on the right side with my son on my shoulders...

It is really great to see diligently researched genealogical information so well displayed. Is this from a particular software package? I note some common surnames: Buchner, Milligan, Partridge and a mutual link in Sh*** (Durrell) Gilrein.

Seasons greeting and I hope the labour market works for you soon. Don

I export FTM to a GEDCOM and import it to my site with a Joomla plugin called Joaktree... My site used to be all HTML, but after the tree reached over 20,000 names, hand writing each page became too much... So I found Joomla to be a great way to go...

Thanks again!

Hello Thompson Branch! This is an *** webpage! I am just starting to build my tree on "Gene" when I ran across this page. I was shocked to see 158 Durrell's in the name index and many of them I have in my tree as well. WOW! You've done alot of work and I love that you opened it up to the public so I could see it! Thank you, Thank you!! Sh*** (Durrell) Gilrein

Thank you for leaving a comment!!! Yes, there is a lot of Durrell's in there... Durrell's are on my wife's side of the tree...

As far as leaving this open for all to see, that's the point! Keeping it open is the only way to meet all the new cousins who stumble across my little site...

Well, I was looking up someone and found your page. I will have to come back later and dive in but it looks like you have some info on Lydia Durrell who married into my family (Emerson). Which probably links back into your family. And by marriage to Luther, who links to Ralph Waldo Emerson. In case you were interested. I did not see him on your index. Great job!

I looked up Lydia Durrell & Joseph Emerson and it seems Lydia is my wife's 1st cousin 8 times removed... As a general rule, I don't trace families past 5th cousins otherwise this tree would become way too big... If you're talking about Luther Emerson, son of Joseph and Lydia, I would be happy to add any more information you have...

Mike, I know you put a lot of hours into our history. It's nice to know that my grandchildren and great-grandchildren to come will have all this information.

I just wish we had more history on the Schembre and Federico side.

Good going son, Love MOM

I just want to say how proud I am of you Mike to do what you're doing with our family history, it takes a lot of time to figure this stuff out and it will be here for our kids and our kid's kids to see and add on to ...

You're the man and keep up the good work big brother !!!!
