    They moved to the Clinton Township, Douglas County, Kansas about 1855 and were there till sometime in the late 1880's. They then moved a few miles away to Lecompton, Douglas County, Kansas.

    Found a post from 1999 saying he was Peter Buchard Gallagher from Donelgal, Ireland and he was married to a Nancy... Close but does not 100% fit as his census says from Virginia. I did find marriage info for him and both wives, Lydia Elizabeth Garner and Nancy Ann Hanes...

    I'm guessing his parents are Peter & Betsy (Garner) Gallagher that were married 10/27/1800 in Westmoreland CO. VA. But that is just a guess... There is a Augustus L Gallagher that married Fanny Elmore 1/9/1817 in Westmoreland that could also be related.
