Farmer Succumbs After Illness Of About Five Weeks
Frank Houser, 69, of the Troy Pike, passed away at 8:15 last evening at the Memorial hospital after an illness of five weeks. He has been in failing health for the past three years.
Mr. Houser was born May 17, 1857 in Springcreek township and has been a resident of this locality his entire life. He was a charter member of the Fletcher K. of P. lodge and a devoted member of the Bethel M. E. church.
Surviving him are his widow, her daughter, Miss Stella Yaste at home; two sons, F. S. Houser and C. B. Houser; four brothers, William Joseph and Lawrence of Piqua and James of Versailles; one sister, Carrie Scudder of Piqua and one grandchild, Stanley.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the Bethel church on Troy Pike with Rev. Lester Pohlecty of Troy circuit in charge. Interment will be made at Forest Hill cemetery.
