Fred Aaron Houser, 72, of 608 Boone Street, died at 9:15 p.m., Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Enos. He had been ill for two years and bedfast for five months.
The son of William C. and Rachel Catherine Hipple Houser, he was born January 21, 1882 in Miami County and was married in Memphis, Tenn., to Anne G. Stewart, who survives. He was employed as a woodworker at the old Piqua Handle Company and then later at the Anchor Manufacturing Company. He was a member of the Church of Christ and the Jr. O.U.A.M.
Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. William Enos (Virginia), a son, Fred H. Houser, both of Piqua; four grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Homer Reck (Emma) and a brother, Frank W. Houser, both of Piqua. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday at the Jamieson funeral home, the Rev. James McCord in charge. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m., Friday.
