    • Lester Howard DeVault, 73, of Barberton, OH, formerly of Leon, WV, departed this life, June 26, 2001 in the Barberton Citizens Hospital, following an extended illness.

      He was born September 21, 1927 in Leon, WV, a son of the late Howard and Esta (Hart) DeVault.

      He was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Army veteran and a protestant.

      Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Flora Anna (Barnett) DeVault; son, Lester Howard DeVault of Barberton, OH; daughter, Carolyn Sue DeVault of Akron, OH; sisters, Thelma Newberry of Franklin, OH, and Elizabeth Durst of Green Township, OH; grandson, William Howard DeVault.

      Service will be Thursday, June 28, 2001, 11 a.m. at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV, with the Rev. Herman Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Creston Cemetery, Evans, WV, with military honors by VFW post #6669, Ravenswood, WV.

      Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service.
