    "Local Department
    Daniel B. Sebold died in Virginia last week. His remains were brought to Baptisttown [sic.] for interment. Mr. Sebold was a native of Kingwood township, and for many years resided between Baptisttown and Croton. Some years ago, at the close of the war, he invested in real estate in Virginia and removed there. He had many relatives living in Kingwood and Franklin townships."

    Her second husband was Mahlon Pegg, a farmer, whom she wed on Feb. 7, 1829 at the Kingwood Baptist Church in Kingwood Twp., Hunterdon Co. They had six children: Mary Elenor in 1830, Parmelia Ann in 1833, John in 1836, Sarah Elizabeth in 1839, Hannah Catherine in 1841 and Jacob S. in 1842.

    She was probably born at her maternal grandparents' house in Kingwood Twp., Hunterdon Co. She may have been named after her maternal grandmother, Hannah Drake Sebold.

    She married Richard Hart Burroughs. They had four children: Frances E. in 1856, Jerusha V. in 1858, Jeremiah Mathews 'Jeremy' in 1861, and Anna Mariah in 1864. Only Jeremy survived to adulthood.

    Hannah was a housewife. She lived in Hopewell Twp. most of her adult life. She died of valvular disease of the heart after a 2-year illness.

    On the afternoon of the 27th ult., Mrs. D. B. Sebold and her daughter Ella, of West Amwell township, were returning to their home from a visit to Lambertville, driving a horse to a buggy that they had safely driven on several former occasions. While crossing a small bridge about one-fourth of mile from their home, the horse turned to one side and the wagon went off one end of the bridge about two feet down, when the horse became frightened and started to run. In descending a hill, the buggy was upset and the ladies were pitched violently forward. Mrs. Sebold, it is thought, landed on her head; her neck was dislocated. She was carried into a house near by, and died within five minutes time. The daughter was quite severely injured, though no serious results are expected. The first intimation the family had that something had happened, was the arrival of the horse at home without the wagon. Mrs. Sebold's age was 53 years. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Cherry, of this place, and a sister to Mrs. George T. Gray, also of this town."
