    Emmett Russell Lambert, 85, of Shrewsbury, died Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after a long illness.

    Mr. Lambert was a retired electrician for Semet Solvay Coal Mines and a member of the UMWA. He was a member of the Shrewsbury Community Church, Shrewsbury, and had lived most of his life in Kanawha County.

    Surviving are his wife, Shirley Kinney Lambert; sons, John P. Lambert of Winfield, W.Va., and Wayne Lambert of Vernon Hill, Va.; daughter, Nancy Chestnut of Belle; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

    Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, at the Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Glasgow with the Rev. Randy Ledsome officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.

    There will be no visitation.

    Mildred Lambert White, 92, of Diamond passed away on Feb. 14, 2007, in St. Albans at the home of her daughter.

    Mildred was born in Quincy on Nov. 6, 1914, the eldest child of Ben and Nora Lambert.

    She was a graduate of Cabin Creek District High School and Charleston Business College. She was a former employee of the YMCA. She was a lifelong resident of Diamond, a homemaker and a faithful member of Diamond Methodist Church, where she was an adult Sunday school teacher and assistant pianist.

    She is survived by two sons and their wives, Donald R. and Barbara J. White of Pasadena, Md., and James H. and Patricia A. White of Pinch; one daughter and her husband, Helen Ann and Daniel S. Musrock of St. Albans; grandchildren, Donald E. White, Tina Farabough, Mark Musrock, Beth Timmons, Scott White and Jamie White; great-grandchildren, Jack Timmons, Samuel Timmons, Henry Musrock, Sarah Ruby Musrock, Graham Musrock, Matthew White, Samuel White, Sean Farabough and Jacob Farabough; brothers, CW Lambert of Wilmington, N.C., Robert Lambert of Kanawha City and Keith Lambert of Surfside Beach, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles ?Toot? White, in 1994; two brothers, Ben Lambert Jr. and Randolph Lambert; and a sister, Vivian Gwinn.

    Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Fidler & Frame Funeral Home, Belle, with the Rev. Mike Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

    Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

    Charles William "CW" Lambert, 85, formerly a resident of Diamond and Belle, WV, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009, at his home in Wilmington, N.C.

    He was born in Diamond, WV, December 19, 1923, son of Ben and Nora Estep Lambert.

    Mr. Lambert was a World War II veteran, having served in the United States Army Air Corps. He retired from the New York Central Railroad and Nationwide Insurance, Belle, WV.

    Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years, Martha Saxton Lambert; four children, Bridget Shumate and husband Chuck of Chesapeake, Va., Randy Lambert of Victoria, Texas, Mary Beth Lambert of Chevy Chase, Md., and Lt. Colonel Craig Lambert and wife Carrie of Nitro, WV; a brother, Robert Lambert and wife Jean of Charleston, W.Va.; and ten grandchildren. Siblings preceding him in death were Mildred White, Vivian Gwinn, Hay Lambert, Ben Lambert Jr., and Keith Lambert.

    A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

    The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2009, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 College Road, Wilmington, N.C.

    Robert Neil Lambert of Kanawha City passed away Thursday, April 26, at CAMC Memorial Hospital. He was born May 21, 1926, and raised in Diamond. He and his wife, Jean, owned and operated the first bed and breakfast in Charleston, The Historic Charleston Bed and Breakfast, for 11 years. Robert graduated from DuPont High School, and attended West Virginia State University. He was employed at Union Carbide for 28 years in the instrument department, and at Foxboro Co. as an industrial computer analyst for 17 years. He had his ham radio license, and he was a TV technician in the 50s and 60s. He was a member of Kanawha City Baptist Church. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Ben and Nora Lambert; sisters, Mildred "Mae" White and Vivian "Sis" Gwinn; brothers, Jesse "Hay" Lambert, Ben "Jr." Lambert, Charles "C.W." Lambert and Keith Lambert; sister-in-law, Eva Clendenin; brothers-in-law, Paul Clendenin and Walter M. "Sonny" Ashley; and niece, Jo Clendenin Cosgrove. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jean Ashley Lambert; daughter and husband, Sherry Lee and Gary Sutton of Charleston; grandson and wife, D.J. and Kristi Sutton of Charleston; great-grandson, Aiden, to be born in May; sisters-in-law, Violet Lambert of Amhurst, Va, Betty Lambert of Surfside Beach, S.C, and Martha Lambert of Chesapeake, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at Kanawha City Baptist Church, 4500 Venable Ave, with funeral service to follow. The Rev. Don Toler and the Rev. Charles Bolen will be officiating. Burial will be private. Fidler and Frame Funeral Home, Belle is in charge of arrangements.

    Damon Keith Lambert, 76, of Surfside Beach, S.C., formerly of Belle, W.Va., passed away on Aug. 5, 2007, while at home.

    Keith was born Nov. 11, 1930, in Diamond, W.Va. He was a member of Glenns Bay Baptist Church. Keith grew up and spent most of his life in the Diamond area. He was a Navy veteran and was a retiree of Conrail Railway. He had worked for the railway for nearly 40 years. Keith was also a 32° Mason, Chelyan Lodge.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Nora Lambert; his sisters, Mildred "Mae" White and Vivian "Sis" Gwinn; and his brothers, Randolph "Hay" Lambert, and Ben "Junior" Lambert.

    He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bettie Lambert; two brothers, C.W. Lambert and Robert Lambert; two daughters, KeithAnn McCown and Terri Lambert; two sons, Dr. James "Mickey" Lambert and Dr. William "Scott? Lambert; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    A private graveside service will be held for the family in West Virginia. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, Aug. 11, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Judson Baptist Church, Belle.

    In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made towards the mission's projects of Glenns Bay Baptist Church, 1835 Glenns Bay Road, Surfside Beach, SC 29575.
